Every Wednesday Rois has her Song Title Interpretation challenge and this week it is STOP.
I have been stopped in my tracks this week. Last week and the beginning of this week, I’ve been so busy that I’m just exhausted. And with Chronic Lyme Disease, I do mean exhausted. Right now it is even difficult for me to walk. I am planning on going to the pool in the morning and doing some mild stretching and aerobics hopefully that will keep me more mobile. Anyhow, below is my entry for the week. As normal, please scroll down for enlarged versions.

I asked Chris last night what I should do for my Theme Tuesday. She thought I should do wheels. At first I didn’t think I had a lot other than cars, but….. As you can tell, I had one or two up my sleeve. The wheel with my pug, Shadow, was on a 747 that was on display at Evergreen Aviation Museum. That 747 is now on top of a building at the Museum and is used as a water slide. (see Chris’s blog showing the 747)
I’ll be out of the house most of the day, so if I don’t get to your blogs until tomorrow, I apologize. But I will get to them!! ENJOY the show!

Today’s theme was inspired by Katie of Katie’s Camera Blog with her entry of When Pigs Fly. I just love old cars and elegance of the classics. I’ve taken several hood ornaments and motometers over the years of some of these classics. I hope you enjoy the show. Thanks Katie for giving me the idea!!! I love your hood ornament!!

I am usually a purist when it comes to photography. I do very little post-editing. However, there are times, it’s just to fun. We as photographers are artists and we are allowed to be artistic.
One thing I appreciate about being a member of the Redbubble.com community is that it has challenged me to try new things. Whether it is in the type of photography or post-editing.. One of the groups I belong to this week is accepting anything that is purple. I wanted to enter something more than just another purple flower, which for me is an obvious choice. So I thought I might have a purple car I could contribute to the group. I couldn’t find one in my archives that I really liked well enough. But there was this red Chevrolet that I really liked. So I took the liberty and changed the color. Here are the before and after.

Young Boy Baffles Reporters
Last week my wife and I were sitting at home watching T.V. together. As I began to flip through the channels I caught a reporter beginning to tell a story about a man who nearly drowned in a swimming pool. I found this story to be very powerful and I want to share it with you.
The reporter began to tell about a man who jumped into a pool head first. He didn’t realize that he jumped into the pool on the wrong end. Instead of diving in on the deep end of the pool, he dove in on the shallow end of the pool. When the man jumped in he hit his head on the bottom of the pool and knocked himself unconscious. The man’s 11-year old son and his 12-year old friend stood back terrified by this accident and not sure how to help. The man’s 11-year old son ran into the house to call 911 hoping his dad would not drown before the emergency team would arrive.
While the man’s son was in the house on the phone his 12-year old friend refused to stand back and watch any longer. The seconds were ticking away fast and the man was losing life rapidly while under water. The 12-year old boy jumped into the water and wrapped his arm around the chest of 6’3″ 230 lb. man the best he could. Then he began to pull this very large man to the surface. He got the man to the steps of the pool and pulled him completely out of the water. Read more…
Chris and I had a blast. First, we started out at a local hangout call The Place to Be Cafe. Where we stopped to get some interior photographs and a latte and snack. Okay, Chris had a small Chai, since she doesn’t drink coffee. The photograph below is a gluten-free pumpkin cheesecake bar with Chris’s iPad keyboard displayed.

This next photograph I took again inside The Place to Be Cafe. I just liked the display
