Jakesprinters Sunday Post this week is pets. I thought I would highlight just one of my 4-legged kids. Mac is the most demonstrative of everyone. She definitely knows what she wants and usually gets it. Mac or MacKenzie has trained both Chris and I well on how to treat her. She loves adventure especially when it comes along with a car ride.
We adopted Miss MacKenzie from a local Pug Rescue organization about 5 years ago. She was found in Bend, Oregon and obviously just had a litter of puppies. Although there were no puppies when they found her in the streets. She was about 10 months old and weighed barely 10 pounds. Pugs normally weight between 15 and 20 pounds. She was potty trained when we got her and also knew sit and down. Pugs are notorious for knowing the word “come” but they choose to ignore it.
Anyhow, I hope you enjoy my little show of the Many Faces of our little Miss MacKenzie. Just click on any photo to get a full sized slide show. ENJOY!!!

Since I’m really tired this weekend, I’ve hopefully come up with some questions you can answer with few words but you may have to think a little bit. ENJOY!!
Here are the four Share Your World questions for this week. I hope you have some fun playing along. It sure is fun learning about all of us.
- Are you left or right handed?
- What is one thing you love about being an adult?
- What do I need to unlearn?
- What is success for me?
See my answers below.
NOTE: Click link to easily find Other Share Your World Week blog entries.
I will be putting out four different questions each week for you to answer. There are two ways which you can participate.
- Create a Share Your World post. Then post the link to your blog in my comment box or leave your answers in the comments box of my blog.
- To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “Share Your World” tag.
- Remember to Follow My Blog to get your weekly reminders.
I will state the questions first and then post my answers in the bottom part of my blog. I’ve also created a banner if you would like one for your blog.

Today was the first day in ages where the sun came out and no rain in the forecast. In fact, we should not have rain for the next couple of days. So Chris and I took a drive around Canby just to see the sun and do a little more exploring on the back roads. We did find an old homestead cemetery from Aurora Colony. Both of us decided to do a photo shoot when we didn’t have the pugs and Chris had her camera. Plus we want late evening with long shadows or a drizzly day for this photo opp.
We also tried out our new pet hammock in the back seat of our car. We brought both our pugs with us. Miss MacKenzie loves car rides. She usually goes everywhere with us. She also has us well trained to hold her on our laps so she can look out the windshield. But with this new hammock I won’t be so full of pug fur. Now, the trick is to train MacKenzie who is a jumper to stay in back.
I was able to take this photo of her trying to look out the windshield….Isn’t she just so totally pathetic?

I did happen to get a cool photo of Mt Hood too.

This will be real quick. Shadow was just to adorable with her little rawhide chewie in her mouth. Ovbiously, there is not much going on this rainy Sunday April 1. Chris took the photo with my camera.

My two cats are always cuddling which allows for great photo opps. I photographed them last night from two different angles. Their names are Freddie (top) and Charlie (bottom). They have been best buddies since we have had them. Hope you ENJOY!!!!

I know I’ve not blogged yet today and I still don’t have any idea what I want to blog about. Since our trip last week to Astoria, I’ve been exhausted. I had a blast. I had two huge camera and lens wrapped around my neck. Every time a ship would pass or the fog would lift a little bit I was hopping out onto our balcony taking more photographs. Between my three cameras, I took a total of 722 photos. Most of which were in one afternoon when the weather finally cleared.
Now I’m just dog tired. Here are a few photos I took around the hotel. I’m also ending today’s blog with my pugs. They were exhausted too! As usual scroll down for enlarged photos. Hope you ENJOY the show!

Huge vase in Check-in Area. That vase is actually made out of wood.
-
-
This sign was posted everywhere, even in our room, at the hotel. Note the unusual use of capitalization.
-
-
I love old cars. This hotel has two 1950s Cadillacs for it customers. I particularly like the reflection of the hotel in the front chrome bumper.
-
-
Close up of the lower part of the vase. I thought it makes for an intersting abstract.
-
-
Door handle outside our room. Even though the river is fresh water, notice the salt damage from the Pacific being so close. There is usually a difference of 10-12 feet during highlow tide.
-
-
Shadow exhausted as well. You can see MacKenzie on the top of the photo. I was the only one still awake with cameras in hand!

MacKenzie exhausted after a long trip to the coast and lots of exciting new smells. She’s napping with Chris.

This past weekend, I switched my email for WordPress. I didn’t realize that doing that, I would lose connection with everyone I was subscribing to. So I’m sorry, if you haven’t heard from me. I trying to go through and re-add everyone again. So I can keep up with you.
Here is one of my favorite dahlias for you all to ENJOY for the day! And a photo of Chris with all four of our 4-legged kids, taking a nap on Christmas day!!!
