My Parents Drugged Me!

February 23, 2012 12 comments

The My Parents Drugged Me! – Anonymous (see below) was initially found at both DiDi-licous blog and  The Conservative Hillbilly blog and I’ve reblogged it here.

How many us are still hooked on being drugged by our parents (or anyone else)?

I know at times I still struggle with the being drugged.  The most potent drug my parents instilled in me is that I’m not good at anything or I never stick to anything longer than a year.  Even though I’ve been in a relationship for over 22 years.  When I worked I stayed no less than 4 years, unless I was contracting.  I’ve been in love with photography forever and serious now for five year.  I’ve been practicing some kind of energy medicine for over ten years.  I had my first car for 18 years.  The list is endless.  But yet there are times, I just can’t break that cycle.

I would love to recapture the innocence and wonder of children.

My Parents Drugged Me!

“The other day, someone at a store in our town read that a Methamphetamine lab had been found in an old farmhouse in the adjoining county and he asked me a rhetorical question: “Why didn’t we have a drug problem when you and I were growing up?”

Powerful Friends: Hope and Belief

February 2, 2012 11 comments

With this past weeks photo challenge being hope and Nick’s Exposed Guest Post  on believing, I’ve thought I’d add a couple more thoughts on those subjects and how it pertains in my life.

Woodenshoe Tulip Farm, Woodburn, Oregon

So here is another photo of Hope………It’s a spring photo!

I’m a healer.  And have been for many years.  I practice Eden Energy Medicine and Quantum Touch.   I really believe that energy medicine can help anyone feel better and heal….especially in conjunction with western medicine, when needed.  For simple little headaches, backache, migraines, etc. energy medicine can work well and painlessly.

The best part of being a healer is that Chris gets the advantage of having me around.  When Chris was a toddler, she had polio and as a result, she has one short leg.  I’ve actually healed her enough not to have to wear special built up shoes.  I can keep her hips in alignment.  She is so thrilled.  It gives her so much more freedom than she ever had before.

From Choas to Serene

December 8, 2011 5 comments

I haven’t blogged since last Saturday when I posted for the Weekly Photography Challenge.  WOW.  I can’t believe it.  Where did this week go.  It started out with Chris and I rearranging our house.  And that took a couple of days.  We still have some minor cleanup to do, but now when I sit at my computer I can look outside too.  What a nice feeling.

Then on Tuesday I went to my volunteer job, where I work with disabled adults most of whom have a mentality of four to seven year old.  I had a real good day.  I was able to stay with someone on their first day at the facility.  This person started out very withdrawn and uncommunicative.  Wouldn’t respond to touch or voice.  Since I can pretty much do what I want, I decided to just sit near him and just be with him while he tried to put a 60 piece puzzle together.  The radio was playing Christmas songs and all of a sudden this person started to sing Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer.  And from that point on I could get their attention and communicate.  It was sure fun to watch and be a part of it.

Another person who has had a brain injury who just loves to talk.  Mostly talks gibberish and doesn’t make any sense.  But this person is getting more and more coherent.  What is really cool, is that  I can actually take the time to listen to him and react to this persons stories, jokes.  This person loves music and every once in awhile can follow a song for a little while.  We actually sang the entire song of Do You Hear What I Hear together.   What a blessing to hear this person stay that coherent for that long.  I loved every minute of my time there this week.

Then yesterday, I had an Energy Medicine session with my teacher who is also a practitioner.   I feel so good after seeing her.   I was also very pleased to see how well my own energy is running.

So my life in photography this week.  Let me see what I can come up with.  It started with chaos with the moving of furniture and computers and ended up being quite calm and serene.

Here is a shot of the remaining chaos of computer wires for an old computer we need to get rid of.

And this last photo is of a small fountain I took earlier this year.

Tis the Season to Be Tranquil

December 1, 2011 8 comments

One thing I’ve learned with having Lymes is that I need to be tranquil and calm.  When I’m stressed, my body really reacts to it.  I just wanted to remind myself and everyone else to take a moment out and stay peaceful and calm.  I know for me meditation is part of it and doing my daily energy routines, keeps me peaceful.  We all have our own unique was of relieving stress.  I know getting a camera in my hand works well too.

Quote:  Good humor is one of the preservatives of our peace and tranquility.  - Tomas Jefferson

Laughter is always a stress reliever.  Jo Bryant, Chronicles of Illusions, the other day put out a blog called Dumb things people say… and here are a few excerpts from it.  Note:  If you are a lawyer you may not think it is so funny :D

ATTORNEY: What gear were you in at the moment of the impact?
 WITNESS: Gucci sweats and Reeboks.

ATTORNEY: Now doctor, isn’t it true that when a person dies in his sleep, he doesn’t know about it until the next morning?
WITNESS: Did you actually pass the bar exam?

ATTORNEY: How was your first marriage terminated?
 WITNESS: By death.
ATTORNEY: And by whose death was it terminated?
 WITNESS: Take a guess.

The last one reminds me of a conversation I had with one of my high schools teachers.    I was born in Moscow, Idaho which is a small college town in the United States.  Most people have not heard of the town and I loved to say I was born in Moscow because people would automatically think it was Moscow Russia.  The conversation I had with my teacher went as follows:

Teacher:  Where were  you born?

Me:     Moscow

Teacher:  Was one of your parents over there?

Me (in my head laughing):  Yeah, my dad!

Starting Where I Left Off – 3 Years Ago

November 27, 2011 7 comments

I’ve decided to go back to school and finish up getting certified to be an Energy Medicine Practitioner.  I’ve taken the prerequisite courses from Donna Eden three years ago.  I was actively practicing on me, Chris and several other people I worked with or knew.  Everyone loved it when I’d fix back pain, headaches, burns, etc.  Chris has post-polio syndrome and she loves it when I keep her hips balanced and help her with her breathing.  I first learned of energy medicine through a book I found, “Quantum Touch” by Richard Gordon.  When we still lived in Denver (Colorado), both Chris and I took some lessons from a practitioner of Quantum Touch.  That is where I learned how to help people with back pain, joint injuries and bone realignment.  It’s a non invasive type of healing.  I help to intensify the electronic chemistry in a body to bring it back to balance.   I kept research the topic of Energy Medicine and soon found Donna Eden who is the founder of modern day Energy Medicine.

Taken from the Energy Medicine with Donna Eden website:

What is Energy Medicine?

Energy Medicine is the science and the art of optimizing your energies to help your body and mind function at their best. Controlling your chemistry by managing your energies is the fast track for helping your body evolve and adapt to the challenges of the 21′s century.

• The oldest, safest, most organic, most accessible, and most affordable medicine there is.

• Potent techniques that allow you to participate more fully in your OWN healing by learning to clear, balance, and direct the natural energies in your body.

• An empowering system for self-help and a powerful tool for health care practitioners.

Three years ago, my job which I had adored for 4 years, changed drastically overnight.  The company I worked for bought out another company and I was transferred to a whole other division which was absolutely horrible.  Plus I just felt like I was getting sick again (organ failure) which no one at that time could explain.  I loved doing my energy medicine and when my job turned horrible and stressful.  So Chris and I made the decision I should quit work.  Because of lack of finances I cancelled my studies.

Now I am feeling better having been diagnosed and am in treatment for Lyme Disease.  Chris and I were talking and we decided to spend the money and put me back in school for certification.  I’m getting real excited.  So I’m going to be digging up my old DVDs and book and start practicing and learning again.  This all came about because I get Donna Eden’s newsletter and she had an article Healing Lyme Disease.

Below is a link to Donna Eden’s Daily Energy Routine.    I hope you take a minute to look at it.

I’ll keep you posted on my activities.

Blessings and hugs

Cee
