Jakesprinters Sunday Post this week is pets. I thought I would highlight just one of my 4-legged kids. Mac is the most demonstrative of everyone. She definitely knows what she wants and usually gets it. Mac or MacKenzie has trained both Chris and I well on how to treat her. She loves adventure especially when it comes along with a car ride.
We adopted Miss MacKenzie from a local Pug Rescue organization about 5 years ago. She was found in Bend, Oregon and obviously just had a litter of puppies. Although there were no puppies when they found her in the streets. She was about 10 months old and weighed barely 10 pounds. Pugs normally weight between 15 and 20 pounds. She was potty trained when we got her and also knew sit and down. Pugs are notorious for knowing the word “come” but they choose to ignore it.
Anyhow, I hope you enjoy my little show of the Many Faces of our little Miss MacKenzie. Just click on any photo to get a full sized slide show. ENJOY!!!

Since I’m really tired this weekend, I’ve hopefully come up with some questions you can answer with few words but you may have to think a little bit. ENJOY!!
Here are the four Share Your World questions for this week. I hope you have some fun playing along. It sure is fun learning about all of us.
- Are you left or right handed?
- What is one thing you love about being an adult?
- What do I need to unlearn?
- What is success for me?
See my answers below.
NOTE: Click link to easily find Other Share Your World Week blog entries.
I will be putting out four different questions each week for you to answer. There are two ways which you can participate.
- Create a Share Your World post. Then post the link to your blog in my comment box or leave your answers in the comments box of my blog.
- To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “Share Your World” tag.
- Remember to Follow My Blog to get your weekly reminders.
I will state the questions first and then post my answers in the bottom part of my blog. I’ve also created a banner if you would like one for your blog.

Today was the first day in ages where the sun came out and no rain in the forecast. In fact, we should not have rain for the next couple of days. So Chris and I took a drive around Canby just to see the sun and do a little more exploring on the back roads. We did find an old homestead cemetery from Aurora Colony. Both of us decided to do a photo shoot when we didn’t have the pugs and Chris had her camera. Plus we want late evening with long shadows or a drizzly day for this photo opp.
We also tried out our new pet hammock in the back seat of our car. We brought both our pugs with us. Miss MacKenzie loves car rides. She usually goes everywhere with us. She also has us well trained to hold her on our laps so she can look out the windshield. But with this new hammock I won’t be so full of pug fur. Now, the trick is to train MacKenzie who is a jumper to stay in back.
I was able to take this photo of her trying to look out the windshield….Isn’t she just so totally pathetic?

I did happen to get a cool photo of Mt Hood too.

This will be real quick. Shadow was just to adorable with her little rawhide chewie in her mouth. Ovbiously, there is not much going on this rainy Sunday April 1. Chris took the photo with my camera.

Rois has an interesting challenge every week, where she picks a song and we find photos to make the topic of the song. So here is my interpretation of the week’s Wednesday Song Title Interpretation: Just The Two Of Us. It’s kind of a continuation of my Theme Tuesday which was all about things that make me smile which I posted this week. Hope you all ENJOY!

Yes, that was the forecast for overnight. And we did get snow! We had about 3 inches. Canby usually gets a trace of snow each year. Not inches. Portland which is about 40 miles north of us gets an average of 3″ of snow per year. It was a glorious scene early this morning and it is melting fast. Chris and I swim early so I wasn’t able to get out an take photos until just a couple of minutes ago. Hope you enjoy the view in my backyard this morning. As always see larger versions below. By the way, the sun just came out so the snow should be gone by noon.

I asked Chris last night what I should do for my Theme Tuesday. She thought I should do wheels. At first I didn’t think I had a lot other than cars, but….. As you can tell, I had one or two up my sleeve. The wheel with my pug, Shadow, was on a 747 that was on display at Evergreen Aviation Museum. That 747 is now on top of a building at the Museum and is used as a water slide. (see Chris’s blog showing the 747)
I’ll be out of the house most of the day, so if I don’t get to your blogs until tomorrow, I apologize. But I will get to them!! ENJOY the show!

For Frizz Text’s A-Z Archive: D Challenge, I decided to enter different types of D. I know the obvious two for me would be dahlias or dogs, but I decided to try my hand at different types of D’s too. Hope you enjoy the show. Please scroll down for enlarged versions.
