About Cee
The reason why I’m doing this blog is I love photography and pictures. I a very visual person and ready or writing is not the easiest way for me to communicate. So Chris, my partner now since January 1989, and I have been talking about the best way for me to journal. And we came up with this blog for me. It’s my way of saying, I’m here on this world and a place to express myself.
Chris and I moved to Canby, Oregon about 5 years ago. Prior to that we lived in the Denver, Colorado area. The rain is what we love and all the green that is around. We happen to live in the North Willamette Valley and there are plenty of tree farms and flower and plant nurseries all around. There are also plenty of grape vines, hops vines (beer), and hazelnuts all around us. So there is endless opportunities for me to take plenty of photographs. Plus we are only an hour and half away from the Pacific Ocean.
We have two orange tabby cats (Charlie and Freddie) and we’ve had them for the past 10 years or longer. We also have two fawn pugs (MacKenzie and Shadow) both females and rescue dogs. Both around 6 or 7 years old now.
I love photography and still think the first picture I ever took on an old brownie camera was my best. It was a one of my family. Wish I still had that photo, but don’t. I just remember it was so clear and seemed magical to me. Over the years, my cameras have improved and so has my talent.
I have Chronic Lyme Disease and it was undiagnosed for 25 years and have been through a 40-day coma with multi-organ failure and am dependent on insulin (Type I Diabetes) because of my Lyme Disease. To read more about Lyme Disease, please see my Living with Lyme page.
The two camera I use and their equipment is listed below.
Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ100 which I take everywhere I go. It’s simply awesome and compact.
Nikon D80 when I am on a serious photoshoot. The lenses I own are:
Nikkor 18-200mm VR
Nikkor 70-300mm VR
Nikkor 105mm Fixed VR
Nikkor 24-85 mm F/2.8 VR

I also have a Lumix point and shoot (compact) and also like it just as much.
