I don’t often combine challenges, but this week WordPress put out two challenges which for me are so very intertwined. One challenge is the Special Photo Challenge: Inspiration and the other is the normal Weekly Photo Challenge: Thankful.
For those of you who do not know me very well. Twelve years ago I got really sick and was in a coma for 40-days and should have died a few times over. Anyhow, the extremely short version of that experience was I have Chronic Lymes Disease and had it since my early twenties and I’m now in my fifties. So I’ve been extremely ill and close to death several times. I have been with one partner, Chris for over twenty years and together we have been through it all. We have lost our house, cars, went bankrupt on top of facing my death. Anyhow, I’m glad to report I’m alive and kicking.
Recently we have found a Master QiGong healer and she is working wonders on me. QiGong is part of the ancient healing Chinese medicine. Sadly, in my country Energy Medicine or Chinese Medicine is not widely used or accepted. I’ve been practicing various forms of energy medicine for years, which I contribute a lot to my being alive. And now working with a Master Healer I am already reaping many rewards of continued healing.
So that is my story story cut very short. The first photo is one of me right after I went into my coma in March 2001. The second photo is one of my family, Chris, our two pugs and two orange tabby cats. They are the joys in my life. I don’t have any family, so what you see in that photograph is my family. I wouldn’t be alive if it wasn’t for Chris and her devotion and steadfast love for me. Together we are unstoppable. We have achieved the impossible. And we also love to pass it on to others.
The inspiration on why I blog. As I stated earlier I don’t have family and with me being so sick, Chris and I have become extremely isolated from the world. She works and gets some contact with people. I don’t work anymore and really don’t have contact with people. So I blog.
I see the world through photos and always have. I’ve always had a camera and taken photos. So once I got out of the hospital from being in my coma, I started taking photos and got serious with photography about 6 years ago So this blog is all about photography and my life. It keeps me in contact with the rest of the world. And I am truly grateful for the opportunity to blog and get to know some of you. So the rest of the photos are some of my early photos I took once I started to get somewhat serious about photography. I hope you ENJOY!!!
